Lively Atmosphere...Overpriced Salads

Posted byLeilaniSouzaDotComon 4/29/2009

Buca Di Beppo reminds me a lot of the Stinking Rose in San Francisco, as far as the ambiance. However, there are only two memorable dishes here...one is the Linguine Frutti Di Mare (a great seafood pasta dish with a little kick!) and the other was the Bread Pudding served with a heavenly chocolate sauce...which unfortunately they don't have on their menu anymore. Bummer. Would I come here again? Sure, if I was invited by a group and it was the restaurant of choice...but I wouldn't initiate the invitation myself.

Break Bread

The food is in generous protions (family style serving) and the taste is great. The ambience is really nice, plenty to read/look at on the walls while your food is being prepared. The ONLY down side is the bread. The bread is an extra cost and not complimentary (as it is at Olive Garden).

Best Family Dining (Italian) in Roseville

My family consists of three very hungry individuals. We always are satisfied with the quality of food and the pricing at Buca........but there is going to be leftovers no matter what........... On Saturdays and Sundays, they feature a very special Angel Hair pasta with prawns, capers, feta cheese, and greek olives, in a very spicy sauce. This dish is so wonderful, its a mystery why its not on their permanent menu......my wife says the cheese ravioli is the best she's ever tasted...... HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION......but if you are seated next to a family with very small children, you should politely ask to be moved (or plan on having an extremely unpleasant dining experience).

Good food ,but bring a bunch of friends to share!

We found Bucc'a food to be pretty good and authentic, but if you are a couple that likes a variety of different foods, this is NOT the palce for you. Dishes arrive "family style" and in gargantuan proportions that easily feed six, so make sure you have a party of six! Food was good and I loved the decor.Sevice was above average also. Not a long wait for seating. We will go back........but with 4 more friends or a pack of hungry teenaged boys with hollow legs!

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!

If you're looking for great Italian food, and a lot of it Buca is your spot! The food here is just so yummy! Okay, it's not the most wonderful, unique, most Italian of Italian food but I love it. The sauces are all rich and delicious and the salads are great. I just love everything here plus the environment is a ton of fun. Go with a group of 4 or more and share a plate or two of food! You'll love it!
