Fat's is good place to eat the best Americanized Asian food. My favorite dish is the honey walnut prawns. Every time I go here I order them, and everyone who has tried them loves them. Its like a desert. .You can't go wrong with the Mongolian Baby Back Ribs, the Peking Duck, or the Spring Rolls. On my last visit, i enjoyed the Orange Beef and Indonesian Spicy Pork. They also have a wonderful dim sum basket I have never had a problem getting seated and every dish i have had there was delicious! Top of The Line.

Fat's Asia Bistro & Dim Sum Bar (Roseville)

My boyfriend and I, with two of my good friends were a recent customer at your Frank Fat's Bistro & Dim Sum Bar in Roseville, CA. We had the most upsetting and disgusting experience with one of the server and manager that night, Tuesday, October 21st, 2008, 6pm. Pacific time. After dinning and paying for our meals, the server named Chris that night, had asked if we wanted the cash change back, we replied "No thank you, you can keep the change." Than all of a sudden this server yelled and pointed his finger at us and said "That's it for tips, don't you ever come back here, I'll remember your faces!" We all were shocked and very pist that this worker had the gust to say that kind of stuff to paying customers. We had never seen a server who acted as the way he did in a restaurant like this. We told him that we are leaving, and that we are going to complain to his manager about his attitude and service. As we headed to the front desk, we asked for the Manager working that night, and just to note that this manager, did not mention his name, not even once to us. We told him that the server named Chris, had given us an outrageously rude and unnecessary attitude. We asked the manager that we just wanted an apology from this server for yelling to us that we are not welcome. The tip was out of generosity. The manager did not make any sense or any better and he didn't give us our request we asked him to do. Instead the manager told us that "this was not the first time that this server had done this, the servers living depends on tips". And here I am thinking, is this manager promoting this kind of attitude and service at this Frank Fat Restaurant, and this server did nothing above and beyond to deserve a great tip, plus instead of asking for a higher tip, he threw us a bad attitude and said for us all, to never come back. And so we left because we feel that the manager there was the wrong source to go, when complaining about their service.

Worst Place I Ever Been Too. Extremely Dissapointed

Let me start off by saying that the first time I went to this Restraunt in Roseville, I went with 30 other employees from my Company. We went for a company get together. Our company is a Fortune 500 company, so reservations were made using the company name and because of this, I feel our dining experience there was pleasent. But this is not the case for when I tried to take my family to dine here. First off the waiters who sat us basically did that. They just "sat us" with no words exhanged. Then a waiter came and brought us our water and menus, placed them on the table and did not say a word. After that we waited for ONE HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES before I got very upset that no one had come to our table the whole time we were there. As we sat for this awfully long time, we watched as other people came into the restraunt, had theyre order taken, eat, then leave. Waiters would walk right by us and act as if we didnt exist. So after waiting and watching this go on, we decided to leave. I on the other hand asked to speak to the manager, a tall white guy with a mustache and gaotee maybe in his mid 50's. I told hime that the service here was ridiculous. I told him that I had been here for a very long time and none has bothered to take our order. He aploigized and said he would send someone to take our order. I told him I was upset at the way we were treated, and we are already leaving. I also told him I would never eat here again. To summarize, I feel that this restraunt experience was the worst I have ever had by far. I feel were were treated unfairly based on nationality and appearence. So if you are not caucasian, and you intend to not dress up like a million bucks, then dont bother eating here or you will have the same expereince as i did. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS RESTRAUNT.

Great Restaurant for business or pleasure

The food, the ambiance, the wait staff are all excellent. The welcome staff is average. Appetizers are tremendous. Ask for tuna on your Avocado roll and make sure you get the calamari or the chicken wraps. There are no bad entree's. The Honey Walnut Prawns are akin to having dessert for dinner. The Steak Kew is Filet that is marinated and served with green beans and a black pepper sauce. It is one of the best steak dishes I have had in quite awhile. Don't just take my word for it. My company plans meetings in Roseville so they can eat there. 1 comes from Utah, 6 from L.A. I am the only one that lives here so 7 people travel to meet with one so we can eat at Fats and a couple of others. My mother, who dislikes Asian food for the most part, recommends Fats to anyone that is going to California and I think my parents visit us for (1) grandkids and (2) Fats.

Fat's has room for improvement.

Service started off great but disappeared toward the end of the meal. Had to ask to get Ice tea refilled and still waited for some time. The food was lackluster in taste but presented in an upscale fashion. There are no child menus or portions. The menu offers variety but is somewhat limited. Portions seem small but are adequate. Prices are normal for a good sit down restaurant. Nice décor but again, nothing special. Good change from the usual buffet but wish they offered more with their entrees. I had the Peking Duck and my wife had the Almond Chicken with Orange Sauce which she tought was way too sweet.
